The town prioritizes the creation of opportunities for exercise and active lifestyles, reinforcing a sense of community and belonging, and continues its investment through its Recreation Commission.

We are also in the process of pursuing the construction of a community swimming pool in partnership with the Placentia Lions Club.

Placentia CYN (Community Youth Network) provides a variety of services, events and programs targeting youth in grades 7-12. The initiative concentrates on career development, leadership, community capacity building, recreation and supportive services. Placentia also offers summer recreation programs for younger children, aged 4 – 14.

Arts and crafts workshops and other activities are offered throughout the year at the Placentia Bay Cultural Arts Centre.
