The Town Square is located in the heart of Placentia. The Town Hall, Placentia Bay Cultural Arts Centre, Cultural Interpretation Building, Star of the Sea Hall, Sacred Heart Church, World War I Cenotaph, Our Lady of Angels Convent and Placentia Legacy Garden are located there. The Legacy Garden includes the Placentia Bay Cenotaph, Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Presentation Sisters Cemetery and public community space.
The Town Square is used throughout the year for community events and is within walking distance of several provincially designated heritage structures and archaeological sites.
