Tourism Department

Placentia is a destination rich in history, culture, and natural beauty.

The Tourism Department works to showcase the town’s unique attractions, from historic sites and cultural experiences to recreational opportunities and scenic landscapes. Our team provides visitors with information, guidance, and resources to make the most of their stay, helping them explore, discover, and connect with everything Placentia has to offer.

By promoting local businesses, events, and heritage, we aim to create memorable experiences that highlight the character and hospitality of our community. Through collaboration with community partners and ongoing outreach, the department also supports sustainable tourism that benefits residents, visitors, and the local economy.

Placentia comes alive with Special Events throughout the year!

Special Events supports and promotes a wide range of community celebrations and activities held throughout the year. From signature municipal events such as Winter Carnival, Volunteer Appreciation Week, Municipal Awareness Week, Economic Development Week, Voices of Placentia Bay Festival, Light Up the Square, and the Santa Claus Parade, these events bring residents and visitors together to celebrate community spirit, culture, and local pride.

In addition to municipal initiatives, the department also supports and helps promote events organized by local groups and organizations, such as the Placentia Regatta, the Historical Society Tea Party, and many others. By working closely with community partners, the program helps create vibrant experiences that strengthen connections, showcase local traditions, and encourage participation from residents and visitors alike.
