A Message from the Mayor

The Town of Placentia is pleased to welcome Mayor Jamie Neville as our newly elected leader. We look forward to his guidance and commitment to building on Placentia’s strong foundation as we continue to grow and thrive as a community. Mayor Neville would like to extend his sincere gratitude to former Mayor Keith Pearson and past Councillors for their dedicated service and contributions to the Town. Their time, energy, and leadership has left a lasting legacy within our community. He would also to thank all candidates who put their names forward in this election, as well as all residents who exercised their right to vote. Your participation is a vital part of a healthy democracy and the future of our Town. In the coming weeks, Mayor Neville and the newly elected Councillors will be working diligently to become familiar with their roles, committee structures, and responsibilities. Together, they are committed to serving the people of Placentia with dedication, accountability, and vision.

Meeting Schedule

Public meetings of the Town of Placentia council are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the council chamber at the town hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend.  Meetings are also live streamed on the Town of Placentia Council YouTube Channel.

Committees of council review & discuss business to be presented at the public meeting during the second week of the month. For example, the public works committee will review and make recommendations on building permits: the permit will then be approved by council at the public meeting.

The deadline for all information submissions is 4:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month.
