Water Ban Notification
As of Friday, July 17, 2026, the Town of Placentia is implementing a mandatory water ban due to critically low water levels in our freshwater sources. These restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
We ask all residents and businesses to help conserve water so there is enough to meet essential daily needs and maintain adequate reserves for emergency services.
Permitted Uses:
- Drinking, cooking, bathing, laundry, and dishwashing.
- Watering vegetable gardens and flower pots/beds the minimum amount of water required.
Prohibited Uses:
- Washing vehicles, boats, trailers, or recreational equipment.
- Washing driveways, sidewalks, buildings, decks, or patios.
- Filling or topping up pools, hot tubs, or decorative fountains.
- Any unnecessary or excessive use of municipal water.
Excessive water use reduces available drinking water, impacts water pressure, and limits water available for firefighting. If conditions worsen, additional restrictions may become necessary.
Thank you for your cooperation. Every litre saved helps protect our community’s water supply. Updates will be provided as conditions change.
